I loved the footy finals over the holidays. Who did you barrack for?
Michael Wagner and Tom Jellett's Why I Love Footy is the perfect book for all footy fans. I hope you enjoy is as much as I did.

New book by Bob Graham

On the weekend I read Bob Graham's new picture book How the Sun Got to Coco’s House.
It embraces the beauty of an everyday miracle – how our sun journeys from one side of the world to the other and connects us all: how it skims mighty oceans and dances over mountains and deserts; how it wakes sleepy villages and restless cities; and lights the lives of all creatures.
The book celebrates home and family, friendship and communities; and all living things. It's a book I think you'll love from the beautiful illustrations to its tender words.
I recommend this book for all ages and I can't wait to share it with you.

Welcome to story.time.corner

Welcome kids to story.time.corner

Do you love books? Reading? Reading about great books? Then pop on over here anytime to cosy up in story.time.corner. Here you can read about brilliant new releases, comment on books we've shared and catch up on news about your favourite authors.

When I was little, I only had a few books but I read them over and over and over again. I remember going to Carlingford Library as a pre-schooler and staring overwhelmed by the number of books there.

My primary school only got a library when I was in year 3 - can you imagine that? It was really exciting. I loved picture books then, and they're still my favourite now.

So when you ask me what my top 5 books are? It's tough but...

  1. Guess how much I love you
  2. The rainbow fish
  3. Room on a broom
  4. The terrible plop
  5. Thelma the unicorn

You might notice that they're all picture books - I think I love them because I find pictures can be so memorable, often more so than words.

So, I wanted to ask you guys, what's your favourite book?

I can't wait to hear your favourites next time I pop back, maybe we can even look at a couple in class!
