Happy Book Week everyone!

I hope you spend it reading your favourite stories!

Join in the fun and dress up as your favourite book character this Friday. You might even like to take a selfie with your favourite book to display in our library. There will also be a colouring competition for you to join in during Break 2.

One step at a time - a heart warming picture book

Sortlisted for the Picture Book of the Year 2016. 

One Step at a Time is a beautiful picture book which tells a story about the relationship between a young boy, Luk, and his elephant, Mali. On the border of Thailand and Burma, Mali steps on a landmine. Luk supports her during her recovery. Mali is eventually fitted with a prosthesic leg and gets a second chance at life. 

It is a story about love and friendship that I hope you will touch your heart as much as it did mine.
